Welcome to the EYFS page.

Learning really is child's play in our Early Years Reception class.

Throughout the year we will be following a number of exciting themes to capture the children's interests including- Marvellous Me, Night and Day (including Space) Celebrations (Harvest, Diwali, Christmas, Chinese New Year, Easter and more!) People Who Help Us, Animals and Summer (including the seaside and pirates!)

We really value the learning that takes place at home too. There are several ways you can help to share this with us.

Wow Stars: Please record any significant achievements on the stars your child brings home in their book bag. We will celebrate these with the class on the day they are brought into school and then they will be celebrated and stuck in your child's 'Learning Journey' file.

Reading Books: Your child will bring home a book to read from school. We aim to change books after we have heard your child read at least twice a week. Please write a comment in their reading record book that will help us to understand how they are getting on with reading at home.

Home Learning Activities:

Each week we will send home activities for you to enjoy with your child. These come home every Thursday and need to be completed and returned to school by the following Tuesday.
