WORSHIP COUNCILOUR CHRISTIAN VALUES

WORSHIP COUNCIL

Our Worship Council is made up of representatives from every year group in school from Year 1 to Year 6.  Mrs Benyon supports the Worship Council.

Worship Council members wear a badge with our special logo to make them identifiable to their peers, staff and other visitors to school.

Remember, even if you are not a Worship Council representative this year, everyone has an important part to play in the life of our school and demonstrating daily, the Christian values that we are proud of and that demonstrate our distinctively Christian character and ethos.

If you have any good ideas about how we can show service to other, live out our school values or improve the Christian ethos and atmosphere of our school, tell your Worship Council representatives, as they will bring them to our meetings to discuss and work on.

Worship council will be looking for and rewarding children who they catch demonstrating our school vision and values as well as the Christian value being focussed on for this term.

Last year the Worship Council attended a parade in Victoria Park in collaboration with the Widnes Branch of the British Legion as part of 'Widnes Remembers.'  We made and displayed some beautiful poppies around school for Remembrance Day.  Worship Council worked alongside parishioners from St Michael's Church to make over 200 Christingles for our Children's Society Christingle service.  We also attended the community lantern walk and led some singing at the Church as part of this.  Many of the Worship Council members have also become part of the newly formed school choir and have sung at the Church carol service, carol services in school and we even did a 'flash mob' impromptu carol singing session in the lunch hall.  Worship Council also did a great job working with members of the church to give people their 'Ashes to go' on Ash Wednesday.    Worship Council help to lead prayers, singing and take part in sketches and role play in worship each week.  We have also worked together to compose a letter to send out to local businesses to raise funds for our 'reflective / peace garden' that we would love to create outdoors.

Please keep looking at our page to see what we have been up to.

We are very excited to see what our newly elected Worship Council for 2019-2020 will achieve this new academic year!
